The official teaser for Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock has been posted on Apple TV+. On January 21, 2022, the reboot series will premiere on the streaming service.

Season 1 of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock will consist of 13 episodes, according to a press release. The Jim Henson Company's original characters Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, Wembley, and Uncle "Traveling" Matt will all return in the series. It also follows the Fraggle Rock: Rock On! Shorts, which were released on Netflix in 2020. Take a look at the new video below.

The Fraggles will embark on "hilarious, epic adventures about the magic that occurs when we enjoy and care for our interconnected environment" in the new series.

Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford of The Jim Henson Company, as well as longtime Henson colleague John Tartaglia, are executive producers on the project. Showrunners Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson, as well as New Regency's Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer, executive produce. Ritamarie Peruggi is the show's producer.

In October, Disney+ and The Henson Company resurrected The Muppets for Muppets Haunted Mansion.
