Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit has received a huge upgrade that includes new content and multiplayer features. A new split-screen multiplayer mode is included in the new update, which brings the game up to version 2.0.

This allows players to operate two karts with a single Nintendo Switch, whereas previously each kart required its own Switch. It also includes a new Relay Race option, which allows 2-4 players to compete together.

In Relay Race, participants share a single kart and compete in an eight-lap race with a control system that allows them to switch to different players at predetermined times during the race.

Version 2.0 introduces a new Cup called the Luigi Cup, which comes with additional unlockable course customizations, in addition to the new multiplayer possibilities.

Windmill Meadows, Music Broadway, and King Boo's Courtyard are three new tracks in Luigi Cup. Players can unlock Luigi's Poltergust kart by placing it high enough.

In July, Mario Kart Live received its most recent big update, version 1.1.0, which adds a new Mario Cup to the Grand Prix mode, along with three new courses and a new Super Yoshi kart. Mario Kart Live is an augmented reality game in which players use their Nintendo Switch to control a toy kart.

The game was developed by Velan Studios in New York, a new firm founded by the founders of Skylanders producer Vicarious Visions. It had 24 different courses spanning eight Grands Prix when it first launched. Different environmental themes, such as undersea, volcanic, and vintage, are included in the courses, which introduce a variety of in-game hazards and elements that influence the kart in real life.

"Nintendo's toys-to-like idea might feel like magic, but it also demands a huge living room to operate properly," we said in our Mario Kart Live review last year.
