Monster Hunter Rise has received a fresh update, bringing the Nintendo Switch game to version 3.7. The game's next Event Quests are slated to begin in just a few days, and today's update lays the setting for them! Senri the Mailman offers these Event Quests for download, with a new one available every week on Friday at 00:00 GMT. It's unknown how long these weekly events will last, but Capcom has already hinted that there will be more in 2022. The following are the full patch notes from the game's official website:

Main Additions / Changes:

  • New Event Quests will be available every week.
  • New DLC can be purchased from Nintendo eShop.
Miscellaneous/Bug Fixes:

Base/Facility:

  • Fixed a bug that caused a non-existent Voice Type 4 to be selected when making a Palamute in some circumstances, resulting in crashes and other issues.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the goal settings to differ between the Host and the guests in the Training Area on occasion.
Monsters:
  • Bug fixes when a monster was hit by a vent in the Lava Caverns or a Blastoad, some monsters might just flinch instead of being knocked down.
Player/Buddies:
  • Fixed a problem that prevented the player from entering their tent if they changed regions right before starting Wyvern Riding.
  • An issue that prevented the Item Bar from being updated on occasion has been fixed.
  • When leaving on the Serpent Goddess of Thunder quest while wearing Arthur's layered armor, a glitch that prevented various visual effects from being presented in cutscenes was fixed.
  • When utilizing particular leg armor in conjunction with the Sonic Jersey layered armor, a problem caused the player character's waist to appear cut off.
  • When utilizing the Hinoa Long or Minoto Long hairstyles, a problem caused the player's hair to clip through their body on occasion was fixed.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the player's Buddy from being displayed for a short period of time if the player joined a multiplayer session while their Buddy was told to wait.
  • An issue that prevented the jerky on Buddy's nose from being displayed when the player joined a Lobby during the Give Treat animation has been fixed.
  • An issue that caused Palicoes to stop moving when executing the Giga Barrel Bombay has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug, when utilizing the Ground Splitter, a bug caused the display of the gunlance's remaining bullets to become erroneous sometimes.
  • A bug that caused an unwanted guard if the player was hit by a Palamute's body slam and blunt hit combo while guarding has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally caused the color of the insect glaive's glow to differ from that of the equipped Kinsect.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a time period in which the player could not dodge if they stopped aiming with the bowgun.
  • Under certain conditions, a bug caused a discrepancy between the amount of ammo owned and the amount of ammo displayed for the bowgun.
Miscellaneous:
  • When multiple controllers are connected, a bug caused the Gyro Correction type to only be reflected on one of them.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Cohoots to vanish from other players' arms if you moved quickly around the village during multiplayer.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Total Slain number on the second page of the Guild Card from being correctly displayed if the total number of monsters slain and captured reached 99,999.
  • Several text bugs have been fixed.
  • Other minor bug fixes have been implemented.
Monster Hunter Rise has been a huge success on the Nintendo Switch, selling over 7.5 million copies as of October. Given how many fans the game has amassed, it's not surprising that Capcom is focusing heavily on adding new content and fixing bugs. Hopefully, the most recent update will keep players interested.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch, with a PC version coming later this year.
