Nick Cannon's 5-month-old son Zen Cannon has died of a brain tumor.

On "The Nick Cannon Show," the 41-year-old TV presenter delivered the heartbreaking announcement.

Zen was Cannon's youngest and seventh child, born in June to him and Alyssa Scott. Zen's tumor was identified over the summer after the actor and host took him to the doctor for a cough.

Cannon stated, "He always had this really unusual breathing." "We assumed it would be a standard procedure." Doctors informed them that he had fluid in his brain, which turned out to be a cancerous tumor.

As he revealed his son's medical situation, Cannon broke down in tears.

He explained, "I always observed he had a cough and wanted to check it out."

"By the time he was two months old, I observed... he had this wonderful large head also – I dubbed it a Cannon's head." "he stated "We didn't give it a second thought. But I wanted to see a doctor about his sinuses and breathing problems. We expected it to be routine."

Cannon stated that Baby Zen eventually had surgery for it. "We accepted every moment with trust and hope."

Zen's mother, Alyssa, was the strongest woman Cannon had ever seen during the procedure, according to Cannon. But, according to Cannon, the tumor began to develop at a far faster rate after Thanksgiving.

This weekend, Cannon said he made it a point to spend as much time as possible with Zen. Cannon stated he held his son at the beach while the sun was rising, and that was the last time he held him.

"I wasn't sure how I was going to deal with today." He motioned to the live audience of his show, which is taped in New York, and stated, "I wanted to grieve alongside my family."

"This weekend, I made a conscious effort to spend as much time as possible with Zen. "On Sunday, we got up and went to the beach with him," Cannon recalled.

As he described holding Zen for the last time, Cannon was filled with emotion.

"I was going about my business as usual." I had no idea what it was going to be like. But even when I got in the car to go to the airport, I had to turn around," Cannon added, to be with Zen.

"When I turned around, we got to view not just the morning, but also the sunset," he remarked.

"You can't heal until you feel," he told his audience, adding, "this is a special show devoted to my darling boy."
