Nvidia will release its entry-level mobile GPUs in 2022 such as the RTX 2050, MX570, and MX550

Nvidia has a lot of graphics cards on the horizon, and it now appears that some more mobile GPUs will be released in the new year as well.

It's nearly impossible to keep up with all of the graphics cards that are expected to be released in the new year. With Nvidia and AMD preparing to release a deluge of their own hardware, not to mention Intel's Alchemist card about to hit the market, consumers will have more options and the aforementioned tech titans will have a new competitor to contend against, it's easy to become confused. Speaking of new releases, it appears that "team green" is on the attack and is preparing to unveil a slew of mobile GPUs.

According to a recent source, Nvidia is planning to offer three laptop graphics products in 2022, notably the RTX 2050, MX570, and MX550. While no specific launch date for these products has been announced, the article states that they are expected to enter the market in the spring of next year. Naturally, these graphics cards are aimed at games, but they are also aimed at creative users, such as those who undertake picture and video editing.

Whereas Nvidia will release the RTX 3090 Ti in January, which will be a somewhat beefed-up version of the 3090, one of the most powerful GPUs on the market right now, the aforementioned mobile cards will be more entry-level. The Ampere architecture will be used in the RTX 2050, which will contain 4 GB of memory on a 64-bit bus. The Ampere platform will also be used in the MX570. The MX550, on the other hand, is based on the Turing architecture from the previous generation. At the time of writing, little is known about the specifications of each of the MX cards.

Nvidia claims to be aiming to corner all corners of the GPU market in the coming year with these new laptop graphics cards, as well as the 3090 Ti. The business also just rebranded its three-year RTX 2060 card, this time with 12 GB of RAM instead of the original's 6 GB. Unfortunately, it appears that many stores were unable to obtain enough stock of the card, with reports indicating that those who did sell it were doing so for about $680 US, or £515.

Jensen Huang and his squad appear to be on the offensive, ready to thwart any attempts by newcomers. While it's likely that Nvidia may lose market share to Intel when the latter releases its Arc devices in 2021, it appears that the company is doing everything it can to discover what will work before the next generation of GPU technology arrives.
