YouTube has made some significant moves in recent months, bringing on TimTheTatman, Dr. Lupo, and, most recently, Ludwig. With more and more streamers joining YouTube and the Google-owned site showing no signs of slowing down, there has been a lot of debate about which platform is ideal for users and content providers.

Pokimane, one of Twitch's most well-known broadcasters, claimed that when it came to choosing between the two, being treated decently by either was a non-factor, and neither was money offered.

Why did Pokimane choose Twitch instead of YouTube?

Pokimane stated on a November 30 live that when she had to choose between Twitch and YouTube two years ago, there was one key item the Amazon-owned site possessed that YouTube didn't.

"You know what I decided on two years ago when I had to choose between Twitch and YouTube? I'm not sure which platform would pay me more. It didn't matter to me which platform was more pleasant. But I'll tell you which station I'd have more f**king fun on!" she exclaimed.

Twitch conversation and culture, according to Anys, is so iconic and enjoyable that it ended up being the determining factor for her.

However, she isn't absolutely opposed to streaming on YouTube, and she may be doing so in a few years if she chooses to travel.

Pokimane may be able to stream on YouTube in 2 years.

Pokimane concluded by saying that if she decides to "solo dolo" travel the world and acquires as many viewers as she wants in two years, she'd be willing to jump ship... in a way.

"I'm going to stream on f**king everything." Or I'll go to YouTube if I want a more general audience. But what I really wanted was to have a nice time, and you guys are a wonderful time," she told her chat.

It will be interesting to watch whether Pokimane truly jumps ship in two years, and what the streaming sphere will look like by then. Regardless, it's nice to see she's enjoying her time on Twitch and having a good time.
