Praey for the Gods is a terrifying adventure set on a barren frozen island where your only hope of existence is to slay the gods you worship.
Praey for the Gods will be released on PS4 and PS5 on December 14th, 2021. The PS4 version includes a free PS5 update! In this open-world adventure game set in the snow, you play as a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying frozen land to explore and solve the mysteries of a never-ending planet.
Praey for the Gods is an open-world adventure game in which you play as a lone hero sent to the brink of a dying cold world to uncover the mysteries behind an endless winter. You must survive the tremendous threats you face after arriving with only the clothing on your back. To restore equilibrium and bring the land back from the edge, you'll have to answer questions that not even a God can answer.
When tried Praey for the Gods a while back, seeing all the potential in this action-adventure clearly inspired by the classic Shadow of the Colossus, which at the time still required some polishing and polishing.
Climb atop and defeat the huge animals who are bound to this realm despite unimaginable odds. From ruins and mountains to the gigantic animals that roam the earth, you can climb on almost anything you can lay your hands on. Ascend to the peaks of mountains and then glide across the open globe to reach previously unreachable areas. Swim in the freezing water to find hidden wealth and mysteries, but don't stay in for too long or your swim will be your last.
You'll be stranded on a cold island with nothing but the clothing on your back, and it'll be up to you to keep warm. Make fires, hunt for food, and gather the supplies you'll need to survive an unending winter. Nature isn't the only threat, so make weapons, kill minions for better equipment, and explore long-forgotten tunnels to learn their secrets. Surviving these tests will prepare you for the impossibilities that lie ahead.
Pray for the Gods is a non-linear game in which you decide who you fight and how you fight them. While fate will guide you, nearly all of the large animals can be tackled in any order, allowing you to choose your own path.
Experience a never-ending winter scene bordered by snow-capped peaks and thick fog. You're standing among the ruins of an old civilization, but don't let your awe turn into carelessness; snowstorms can strike at any time and bury you in a blizzard. If you get lost, you can leave tracks in the snow and trace your steps back.
No Matter Studios, a three-person firm, is working on Praey for the Gods. Hung-Chien Liao, Brian Parnell, Tim Wiese (glasses), and Brian Parnell. The group started working on their first game after hours in 2014. They were confident enough in their development by January 2016 that they left their game-studio positions in San Francisco and relocated to Seattle. They worked in Parnell's basement on an all-or-nothing mission to create the game of their dreams.
Praey for the Gods is now available on PC, Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One, thanks to an unexpected release by No Matter Studio.
