The Pokemon Company has stated that six announcements would be made this week.

Starting today, February 21, 2022, and coming up to February 27, 2022, which is Pokémon Day, the Pokémon Company will release news every day this week.

The announcements will include Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon Cafe Mis, Pokémon Unite, P25 Music, and Pokémon GO, according to The Pokémon Company's Japanese Twitter account.

The newest Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is oddly absent from the list; nonetheless, any Arceus news is likely to be saved for Pokémon Day itself.

Pokémon Day honors the release of Pokémon Red and Green on the Game Boy in Japan, marking the franchise's 10th anniversary.

There are currently no Pokémon games in the main series planned. Since the announcement of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, The Pokémon Company has gone thus long without revealing what they're working on.

It's possible that the next generation of Pokémon games may be revealed at Pokémon Day. Pokémon Sword and Shield kicked off Generation 8.

According to a new employment announcement for Creatures Inc., the second Detective Pikachu game is still in development.

A programmer known only as 'KT' reveals that he is "working on the sequel to Detective Pikachu, programming the drawing area, while also creating a system in the Environment Development Office that will serve as the foundation for future game production in general," as posted on Creatures Inc's recruitment website and translated by our team.

Some Pokémon fans will be pleased by the news, as information about the sequel to the 3DS original has been scarce since its announcement three years ago.
