A Mouthmode Backpack Cover is a Kirby Pre-Order Gift. In Hong Kong, a special pre-order bonus for Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been announced, and fans are excited.

Pre-order rewards for games can range from mediocre beginning gear to showy cosmetics that serve no use other than to show that a player purchased a game early. The pre-order for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, on the other hand, looks to be using the highly meme-worthy Mouthful Mode, which will make its debut in the future game.

This pre-order is unique in that it will not feature anything new for use in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but will instead be a physical item for players to carry around and show off their love for the game. The item also appears to be offered just to players purchasing the game in Hong Kong, rather than being a global piece of bonus merchandise.

Players who pre-order Kirby and the Forgotten Land will also receive a beautiful backpack cover influenced by the game's Mouthful Mode. The Mouthful Mode is a new gameplay concept coming to Forgotten Land in which Kirby wants to devour cars, traffic cones, and other huge items, but his mouth becomes caught over them instead of swallowing them whole like he normally does. As a result of the altered design, the backpack cover resembles an enormous version of Kirby attempting and failing to eat the owner's backpack or even attempting to eat the owner.

Fans have already started reacting to this, either hoping that Nintendo will expand this pre-order offer to other nations and regions, or that these covers will become available for purchase online. Given how famous Mouthful Mode has grown in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, it's no surprise that fans are eager to get their hands on a piece of real-world goods. Nintendo, on the other hand, does not appear to have any plans to expand the availability of this pre-order bonus outside Hong Kong.

More of this type of goods seems like a wonderful idea to promote sales, especially since Nintendo appears to want to combine every new game with real-life toys, such as the previously released amibos backed by Kirby and the Forgotten Land. By the time this new title is released, Kirby fans in other regions should have their own real-life collectibles. Otherwise, it appears that online second-hand businesses will witness a surge in traffic as fans try to get their hands on as many Mouthful Mode backpack coverings as possible.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be released for the Nintendo Switch on March 25.
