PS4 and PS5 Combined Game Data

Sony's Ps4 and Ps5 consoles have jointly sold about 2 billion games, easily surpassing the PS2's software sales.

According to official data, Sony's current-gen and next-gen consoles have sold nearly 2 billion games combined.

How many games sold PS4 & PS5 Console altogether?

Due to the fact that console shipments (and sales) are falling, software revenue is increasing, with over $3 billion in digital games and add-ons collected in Q3. Sony also released updated sales stats for PS4 and PS5 software...and the results are very unexpected.

As of December 31, 2021, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles have sold 1.817 billion games, according to our research. This information is based on Sony's Q3'19 software sales number of 1.181 billion dollars, plus the sum of FY20 full-year software sales and FY21 Q1-3 data.

Of course, nearly most of them. In other news, the PS4 sold 200,000 units in the third quarter of 2021, bringing the total number of units sold to 116.8 million. Then there were 92.7 million PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 titles sold in the quarter, with Sony publishing 11.3 million of them. A digital copy was requested by 62% of respondents. In fact, the PS Store had its second-largest quarterly revenue-earning quarter ever, which was fantastic news all around. There were 111 million monthly active users who spent an average of $42.37.

However, we are unable to provide accurate figures. When the PS5 was released in Q3 of 2020, Sony began combining PS4 and PS5 game sales. Assuming this, the 1.181 billion figure can be added to the 91.4 million and 81.8 million figures from FY20 Q1-2, for a total of 1.354 billion.

Except for that, establishing the combination is tough.

The majority of revenue comes from digital; According to ArmGunar of ResetERA, digital software contributed 53% of PlayStation's quarterly earnings.

PS5 Stock has been selling at a premium for nearly 18 months, and the situation does not appear to be improving anytime soon. At the very least, Sony will be pleased if the system sells as soon as it touches a physical store shelf or an online site that advertises stock.
