The half sinking Lady Anastasia belongs to a Russian oligarch who runs a state-owned military weapons industry.
Angered by the continued Russian aggression in Ukraine, a Ukrainian sailor attempted to destroy a Russian tycoon's superyacht over the weekend.
In local sources, he was identified as D. Taras O., the chief engineer of the superyacht Lady Anastasia. On Saturday, he was reported to have watched a video showing a Russian cruise missile striking a residential building in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital.
The sailor thought the missile he saw in the video was made by a company owned by Alexander Mikheev, his boss and the owner of the Lady Anastasia superyacht on which he worked. The 55-year-old decided to take matters into his own hands at Port Adriano, a harbor on the Spanish island of Mallorca famed for storing ultra-wealthy yachts.

The sailor opened a big valve in the engine room, followed by another in the crew quarters. He also turned off the electricity and closed the fuel valves to prevent polluting leaks. Then he told the crew to leave the ship.
When the Ukrainian sailor ordered his fellow crew members to evacuate the Lady Anastasia, he was informed he was insane, he alleged in court on Sunday. In response, he reminded the crew that they, too, were Ukrainians whose nation was being attacked and that he would accept full responsibility for the damaged yacht.
Due to the efforts of crew members and other port workers to stem the leak, the Lady Anastasia had suffered damage and was partially sunk.
"My boss is a criminal who sells guns that kill Ukrainians," he told the civil guards who arrived to arrest him.
Mikheev is the CEO of Rosoboronexport, a Russian state-owned military weapons supplier and one of the largest players in the international arms industry. Mikheev was previously the CEO of Russian Helicopters, which manufactures both civilian and military helicopters.
