Xbox Game Pass has officially announced 8 new games for February 2022. Microsoft has confirmed in an official announcement that eight more games will be added to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of February.

When it comes to Xbox Game Pass announcements, Microsoft has established a clear pattern. The first batch of games is disclosed at the start of the month, followed by the second set in the middle of the month, which will be released over the next two weeks. This trend will continue in February 2022, with Microsoft announcing eight new games for Xbox Game Pass in varying capacities.

Most Xbox Game Pass games are released on Xbox consoles, however the majority of new games released in the second half of February 2022 appear to be mostly for PC. The games are available to anyone with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or a PC Game Pass subscription, though it's a little unusual that the second half of February is so PC-heavy when it comes to Xbox Game Pass.

EA Play is also bringing a number of games to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of the month. EA Play is EA's version of a Game Pass-style service, in which customers pay a monthly fee to gain access to a variety of EA titles. EA Play is a bonus perk for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, and new titles coming to the service are bundled with Game Pass releases.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is now available in the Cloud for those who have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition was already included to Xbox Game Pass last month, but customers can now try it out without downloading it. On February 17, users will be able to play the Xbox One edition of Lawn Mowing Simulator, while those with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass will be able to play Madden NFL 22 for free.

Total War: Warhammer 3, a day one PC Game Pass game, is arguably the most anticipated new Game Pass game for February 17. Total War: Warhammer 3 has received critical acclaim and is one of the year's highest-rated games, making it a strong "buy" for PC Game Pass.

Roboquest will be available on PC Game Pass on February 22, followed by Galactic Civilizations 3 on February 24. Super Mega Baseball 3 will be added to the Game Pass lineup on February 24 via EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate, while Alice: Madness Returns will be released on February 28.
