Epic Games & Xbox donate Fortnite proceeds to Ukrainian People |
Epic Games stated they are decided to donate all Fortnite earnings from March 20, 2022, to April 3, 2022, to people affected by the Ukraine conflict. Xbox is joining with Epic in this effort, donating its net profits from Fortnite during this time period to help the people of Ukraine.
Donations will be collected over the next two weeks and forwarded to Direct Relief, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP), UNHCR - The UN Refugee Agency, and others that will be "added to this list in the following weeks."

Why is Fortnite donating 100% of its profits to charity?
What will Epic Games do with your Fortnite profits?
Epic Games has stated that it will contribute all Fortnite proceeds collected between March 20 and April 3 to humanitarian aid activities for victims of war-torn Ukraine.
Epic answered several potential questions in a FAQ section, starting by confirming that the funds will be sent "as soon as we can.
"We're not waiting for the actual funds to come in from our platform and payment partners, which can take some time depending on how the transaction was executed," Epic added. "As transactions are recorded, we will log them and deliver monies to humanitarian aid organizations within a few days."
It was also said that all real-money Fortnite purchases, including V-Buck packs, Fortnite Crew, given Battle Passes, and cosmetic packs, will be distributed. In-game cosmetics and V-Bucks cards purchased in-store will also be included if redeemed within the donation deadline.
V-Bucks easily spent will not be counted towards this amount, as only real-money Fortnite purchases will be considered.
Epic Games' move comes with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2: Resistance, which not only adds Doctor Strange and Prowler to its Battle Pass but also removes constructing from the battle royale.
Epic Games has also stopped sales of their products in Russia while its illegal war on Ukraine continues, but has stopped short of completely excluding Russians from access in order to "keep all avenues of conversation open."
Xbox will follow Epic's footsteps and donate all of its Fortnite real-money net revenues to the same charities. The Pokémon Company has also donated $200,000 to Ukraine.
Given that Fortnite introduced a new season soon as this initiative began, the bottom line is likely to be vastly higher than most, if not all, other days in a Fortnite season. Epic noted that there are no exceptions and that even things like Crew subscriptions re-upped for a new month within this window will count toward the overall total.
