The Pokemon Legends Publisher joins the growing list of video gaming companies that have announced their support to Ukraine.

The Pokémon Company International has announced a $200,000 donation to aid humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

"The rising crisis in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, which continues to force family displacement and endanger the safety of children, is distressing," the company tweeted.

"To support humanitarian help, The Pokémon Company International is sending an immediate donation of $200,000 USD to our partners at GlobalGiving."

"The nonprofit will efficiently send the funding to community-led organizations that are helping families and children who have been touched by the crisis."

The Pokémon Company is the latest in a long line of video game companies to officially support Ukraine and criticize Russia's invasion.

Earlier this week, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister requested that Xbox and PlayStation pull out of the Russian and Belarusian marketplaces for the long term.

Mykhailo Fedorov wrote an open letter to the platform's owners on Twitter, requesting that they "ban all Russian and Belorussian accounts, temporarily halt the participation of Russian and Belorussian teams and gamers in all international esports competitions."

"To all game production companies and esports platforms, the Russian Federation has carried out a dishonest and outrageous military strike against my country!" the Deputy Prime Minister said in a message to Xbox and PlayStation. Imagine cruise missiles attacking residential areas, kindergartens, and hospitals in the heart of Europe in 2022."

Last week, the developer of the anti-war game This War of Mine stated that a share of the game's sales would be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

In addition, the Embracer Group, CD Projekt Red, and Ubisoft have all issued statements of support for Ukraine, with the first two pledging to donate to humanitarian aid operations. A new Doom 2 level has been released to raise funds for Ukraine

Meanwhile, EA has confirmed that all Russian teams will be removed from FIFA 22 and all Russian and Belarusian teams will be removed from NHL 22.
