According to Ukraine's Defense Ministry, a Ukrainian soldier who told a Russian warship to "go f*** yourself" before being taken by the invading force has returned home.
During the early days of the Russian invasion in late February, the soldier and his small unit were defending Snake Island, a small island in the Black Sea.
When a Russian warship challenged them to surrender, the soldier said frankly, "Russian warship, go f*** yourself," according to an audio clip of the incident that went viral on social media.
The small unit of Ukrainian soldiers to protect Snake Island was said to have been killed at the time. They were later brought into detention, according to Russian media.
Ukraine's Defense Ministry stated in a tweet today that "Roman Hrybov, the man who coined the saying "Russian warship, go f*** yourself," has returned to his native Cherkasy area after being held captive in Russia. The Hero deserves a lot of credit."

After "meaningful" progress in peace negotiations in Istanbul, Russia claimed it will "radically" limit its military action near the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and the northern city of Chernigiv, more than a month after it launched its invasion.
Turkey's Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, said the negotiations resulted in the "most substantial development" since the conflict began.
