Modern Warfare 2 beta date announced.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta launches this weekend, giving players their first preview of the game's multiplayer suite.

Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, but beta access will begin this weekend for PlayStation users who have been given a beta code.

A brand-new Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and Warzone 2.0 trailer debuted some of the new Call of Duty game elements. The trailer, which was unveiled at the COD Next Showcase Event, shows that players will be able to stand atop cars, use new equipment, and more.

The trailer also shows off a brand-new third-person mode that will be featured in playlists for just that perspective.

How to get the beta code for Modern Warfare 2?

Pre-ordering Modern Warfare 2 from one of the many retailers, purchasing it digitally from the PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, or purchasing it on a PC are all options for those who want to participate in the beta.

Users can play the beta without having to buy the game if they pre-order through Amazon. After receiving the code, users can cancel their pre-order.

The beta will provide a variety of maps and game modes in addition to a "robust multiplayer experience going beyond the Core 6v6 experience," according to Activision.

Players can acquire a variety of in-game goodies during the test that will be included in the Modern Warfare II game when it launches.

More information on the beta will be published at Call of Duty: Next. Then, on September 15, there will be a special broadcast that will reveal brand-new details about Modern Warfare II, Warzone, and the Warzone mobile app.
