Pokemon GO Confirms Community Day Pokemon in October 2022

Niantic has revealed that the Pokemon GO Community Day Pokemon for October will be Litwick, a Ghost and Fire-type Pokemon. This Community Day will see the introduction of Litwick's shiny form to the videogame.

Pokemon GO continues its Season of Light theme by deploying a Pokemon with awful origins, Litwick, which is shaped like a candle but has darker implications due to its status as a Ghost and Fire-type Pokemon. Litwick's shiny form, like other Community Day Pokemon, will have higher odds. Litwick first appeared in the game in 2019 but has been challenging to find outside of Ghost-type situations. Litwick's spawn rate was never as high as that of other Pokemon.

On October 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. local time, there will be a special catch bonus event called Litwick Community Day. Triple catch XP, double Litwick candy after the catch, a higher probability of receiving twice as much XL Candy for trainers' level 31 or higher, and lengthier lure and incense duration extended to 3 hours are some of the things to predict. During Community Day hours, friends can make two special deals and trade Pokemon for a discounted price.

After the Community Day hours, shiny hunting in Litwick will also have more chances. Trainers that do live 4-star Lampert raids will see higher Litwick spawns within 300 meters of the raid gym for 30 minutes following the raid's conclusion thanks to the Community Day shiny spawn rate.

The last form of Litwick, Chandelure, will learn a special Community Day move in Poltergeist, celebrating the launch of the move in Pokemon GO. Depending on how swift moves and Pokemon IVs are combined, this move could rank among the top charged ghost-type attacks. If sufficiently powerful, it might make Chandelure beneficial against raids of the psychic variety, like as Mega-Alakazam. With the addition of Poltergeist, Chandelure may soon rank among the top Ghost-type attackers for mega-evolved Ghost-type Pokemon.

As is usual for Pokemon GO Community Day events, players can purchase a ticket for the Special Research Story path for $1.00 (or the equivalent in your country), which gives extra chances to collect Litwick candy and shiny Litwick as well as premium items like star pieces.

It's been a while since Litwick debuted in Pokemon GO. Throughout the course of its evolutionary history, it has arguably had one of the better shining varieties in the game. Trainers of Pokemon GO can only hope that the cards are on their side and that they capture Litwicks that are not only shiny but also have favorable IVs that they can employ in raids and show in gyms.
