Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Leaker Reveals Seven Returning Fan-Favorite Monsters. Seven loving monsters are confirmed to return in Gen 9, one per generation of games with the exception of one, according to a trustable Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaker.

A well-known and reliable leaker shared a list of the fan favorites from each generation of Pokemon games ahead of the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, claiming that only one of them will be removed from Gen 9's Pokedex. After the significant leaks from last week, when Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's list of returning monsters was deciphered from an image posted by Riddler Khu, a leaker with a solid reputation, this information will probably help fans piece together the Paldean Pokedex.

Riddler Khu has previously stated that not all of the vintage Pokemon from previous generations will be included in Gen 9, so in light of the leaks, players can only hope that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's DLC will address this problem in order to provide a living Pokedex on the Switch. While some returning Pokemon won't be playable in the games to catch, players will still have access to Pokemon Home transfers for some of them, including several Hisuian creatures from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

In his tweet from today, Riddler Khu listed eight creatures, one from each generation of the mainline games, and said that only one of them wouldn't be in Gen 9's Pokedex, giving fans some valuable information about which fan favorites are certain to be included. These Pokemon are: Dragapult from Generation 8, Charizard from Generation 8, Umbreon from Generation 2, Gardevoir from Generation 3, Chandelure from Generation 5, Greninja from Generation 6, and Chandelure from Generation 5. Chandelure is the only one of these that has been definitively ruled out of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

As a result, according to Khu, all seven additional pocket monsters will be included in Generation 9, though some of them, like Greninja, might only be accessible through Pokemon Home. This is fantastic news for players who are eager to capture or transfer their favorite monsters in Generation 9, and it lends even more support to previous Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks regarding the Paldea region's Pokedex. The fact that all of Eevee's evolutions are probably included in the game, along with the other Gen 6 starters, who have never appeared in Switch games, is another significant piece of information that fans could deduce from this leak.

Charizard has been a mainstay of games for a very long time, and other Pokemon like Lucario, Mimikyu, and the most recent addition of them all, Dragapult, were also frequently used in competitive matches. As many of these beloved Pokemon are actually very powerful in battle, and they may have even more tricks up their sleeves as a result of Terastallization's type-changing mechanics, this could upset Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's meta months after their release.

While it's disappointing that Chandelure won't be in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the other power seven are still present, so fans can still celebrate. This opens the door for speculation about whether Ash-Greninja will be added to Pokemon Home or made available on the Switch, but only time will tell.

On November 18, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be released solely for the Nintendo Switch
