Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 want Infected to come back

There is a respectable selection of game modes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but some players would like to see Infected and other party modes return.

Some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players desire the return of the Infected game mode. Modern Warfare 2 offers the same selection of game modes as other Call of Duty games, including Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, and Kill Confirmed.

Prisoner Rescue and Knock Out are two additional new game modes in Modern Warfare 2, and Activision frequently updates the playlists that are accessible to players so they have more options besides the standard ones. There appears to be a respectable selection of game modes available, as players can also participate in massive battles in Invasion, which pits two teams of 20 players against 20 AI opponents. Now, some Modern Warfare 2 fans of Call of Duty want Infected to return.

Reddit user accb1332 recently posted a new message expressing their desire to play Modern Warfare 2's Infected game mode. Infinity Ward's previous 2019 Modern Warfare game in particular featured Infected. Infected has previously appeared in Call of Duty games. Players in this mode must infect other players in the lobby while the opposing team struggles to withstand the attack. When Accb1332 polled other players on Reddit about Infected, it appeared that many supporters also wanted to see it return in Modern Warfare 2.

Some Call of Duty multiplayer players claim that Infected is their favorite game mode, while others view it as a good time for a party. The Modern Warfare 3 remake of Infected is mentioned by one fan, and other users list other game modes they hope Activision will bring back. There are many votes for Gungame and some votes for Gunfight in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fan poll.

The addition of both Gun Game and Gunfight to Modern Warfare 2 in a future update has been hinted at by a leak, so there may be some good news in the works. In addition to this leak, which revealed the arrival of Cranked and Plunder, it appears that Call of Duty fans will have a huge variety of game modes to choose from. There has been no official confirmation of the new content as of yet, but these modes might be released as soon as Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2, which is scheduled to debut on February 15.
