Intriguing Fortnite video shows a gamer hurdling over a rocket

A stunning new Fortnite gameplay video demonstrates how it's possible to jump over rockets in the game.

The hurdling mechanic has been advanced by a Fortnite player by jumping over a rocket. Battle Royale games like Fortnite can be quite challenging to master because there are so many different game modes to choose from. Gamers can master a game and develop their skills to try and get impressive clips once they have learned everything there is to know about it.

Fortnite is a game that is regularly updated to keep it interesting. Players test out any new mechanics or items that are added to the game as much as they can to see if there are any undiscovered, potentially game-changing features. This is exactly what happened with the Shockwave Hammer and the infinite bouncing glitch not too long ago, but it led to its temporary removal from the game.

Recently, a Redditor who plays Fortnite discovered that after being shot at by a Rocket Launcher, it was possible to jump over a rocket. The player kept running toward the rocket, which caused them to hurdle over it by accident. The hurdling feature, which is a component of the game's parkour mechanic, allows players to leap over small obstacles by simply sprinting toward them. Due to sensitivity concerns, it was removed and then, presumably fixed, returned with the most recent maintenance update.

There are still a ton of hidden mechanics in Fortnite that many players might be unaware of, such as the ability to make snowballs and hide in bushes. A while back, the mechanic of rocket riding was very popular among streamers, who would experiment with it. Rockets are technically physical objects, so players can climb on them and ride them without getting hurt as long as a teammate fires the rocket. This wasn't a design choice for the game.

Hurdling could once again be eliminated from the game. Rocket Launchers continued to be effective because rocket riding required some skill to master, but hurdling occurs automatically and as long as the player keeps sprinting, they won't be hurt by the rocket. Because the Snowball Launcher took the place of the Rocket Launcher during the Winterfest event, this wasn't previously known. Currently, the Rocket Launcher has taken the place of the Snowball Launcher and can be acquired from Scrapknight Jules, an NPC at Fishsticks' Boat Race. However, it might not be the best weapon to carry while this problem is still present in the game in order to fill up an inventory slot.
