GTA Trilogy is rumored to be coming to a new platform with a massive discount

Fans will be able to play GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition on a new platform this week, according to a reliable leaker.

On January 19, the Epic Games Store might launch The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition, which includes GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas. The GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition reviews, as many people may be aware, highlighted a number of problems with these games, including terrible game-breaking bugs. Since then, a number of updates have been released, but its standing hasn't really improved. But the new release might mark a turning point.

The source of this latest rumor is Billbil-kun, a well-known Dealabs insider who has previously leaked details about PS Plus and free EGS games. Due to this, it should be noted that GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition is not a game that can be downloaded for free from the Epic Games Store, but Billbil-Kun claims that it will have a significant discount. While this should be taken with a grain of salt given the leaker's reputation, it is more trustworthy than other internet rumors.

The release of GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition is scheduled for January 19 at 8 a.m. PT/10 a.m. CT/4 p.m. UTC, the same time as the January 19 release of the free Epic Games Store game Epistory: Typing Chronicles. GTA may not be free, but according to Billbil-kun, it is available at a significant 50% discount. According to reports, the sale will continue for the first week that it is offered on the platform.

Given its state at launch, some comments question whether or not the GTA Trilogy would be worthwhile at the discount. The games have undergone a number of updates, but it is up to the individual player to decide whether or not they are still as enjoyable or nostalgic as the originals. There are plenty of hours to be had here, but how long it takes to complete the GTA Trilogy shouldn't necessarily be a major or sole factor in this.

Some may want to play them, as well as GTA 4 and GTA 5, just to catch up on the series before Grand Theft Auto 6. Although GTA 6 won't likely release for several more years, Rockstar confirmed it was in development last year. Until then, there is still plenty to enjoy in the franchise.

The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition is rumored to release on Epic Games Store on January 19.
