Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones paid $10.5 million for his Greenwich Village penthouse in 2014. Richards listed the two-story, four-bedroom, four-bathroom property on Fifth Avenue for $12.2 million when he decided to sell it in 2016.

It sat for two years before the musician decided to lower the price. Richards ultimately lost money when he sold the penthouse for $9.95 million.
