The Invincible's First Trailer

Starward Industries' upcoming sci-fi game, The Invincible, has just released its first teaser trailer.  Starward Industries, a tiny firm made up of ex-CD Projekt Red and Techland developers, has released the first gameplay video for The Invincible, its first project. The forthcoming sci-fi game will take you into the original atompunk universe and is based on the classic Stanislaw Lem novel. The video game is based on Stanislaw Lem's timeless novel, which Starward has been adapting into a computer game version since 1964.

The Invincible is a smart single-player sci-fi thriller from a first-person perspective. It immediately brings to mind BioShock and Fallout, but instead of planets buried deep beneath the ocean or decimated by nuclear war, The Invincible is set in a retro-future reality on the faraway planet Regis 3.

You'll find yourself on the surface of a rocky-sandy planet similar to our Mars, as seen in the first teaser trailer, where scientist Dr. Yasna must confront the repercussions of her deeds. The Invincible will heavily rely on your decisions, as the team is working on many plot lines and endings for this cinematic survival experience.

The Invincible appears to be a well-designed environment waiting to be explored, with its absence of digital technology and odd analog gadgets on the screen instead. The actors are dressed in attractive retro spacesuits, sinister robots wander silently about their surroundings, and a dusty space colony can be seen in the background, all contributing to the creation of a distinct mood and ambiance.

The storyline of the game is based on Stanislav Lem's famous novel Invincible, which was first released in 1964. Even if you're a fan of the book, you can anticipate some huge shocks, as the next game is more of a completely new tale based on Lem's work than a faithful replica.

The team was primarily influenced by Alien: Isolation and Firewatch when they started working on the project at the end of 2018, utilizing Unreal Engine. Starward Industries acquired extra money earlier this year, allowing the company to broaden the scope of the project. At the same time, the expected release date has been pushed out to 2022.

The Invincible is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
