BioWare, the creators of Mass Effect 4, teased the next installment in the series yet again with a new poster released as part of this year's N7 Day celebrations. The annual November 7 celebration of the video game brand includes BioWare-led special events, advertising, and teasers for the forthcoming Mass Effect series project. This year, the company is celebrating N7 Day 2021 with a sale of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on numerous platforms, as well as a sale of Mass Effect items at the BioWare Gear Store.

With a teaser trailer revealed during last year's The Game Awards, BioWare had hinted that the next edition in the Mass Effect franchise was already in the works. Although no details about the upcoming game were disclosed, the clip hinted to the return of asari researcher Liara T'Soni, as well as the possibility of the game taking set in the Milky Way galaxy, hinting that the new chapter will be a sequel to the original trilogy.

BioWare's official Twitter account published a poster for a new Mass Effect game. The graphic, titled "Mass Effect Will Continue," depicts a bird's-eye view of what appears to be a barren planet or asteroid's surface. Fortunately, BioWare's poster is large enough that some of its elements may be seen. The image appears to show four individuals walking away from an unknown shuttle with the word "SFX" written on it. The crew, one of them appears to be krogan, appears to be approaching a crater that, when viewed from above, resembles a geth face. A geth's body may also be visible, as it is lodged in the ground.

Surprisingly, the image shows a shuttle with the same white, black, and red color scheme as the Normandy from the first Mass Effect game. The "SR1" designation on the poster's shuttle could signify "Stealth Reconnaissance-1," just like the "SR1" designation on the Normandy from Mass Effect. Furthermore, given the importance of the geth in the tale of Mass Effect 3, it is probable that the geth will play a large role in the future game.

Whereas the new poster doesn't reveal anything specific, and its contents may have nothing to do with the tale of the next Mass Effect game, it does stimulate speculation about the future title and its contents. More information will most likely become available as the game nears its release date. Hopefully, the whole development of Mass Effect 4 will begin sooner than originally reported.
