Terminator: Resistance is a first-person shooter developed by Teyon and published by Reef Entertainment, set in the dark future of the first two films, with the ongoing "Future War" scenario serving as the game's major backdrop. The game was met with mixed reviews, with many critics pointing to the game's unfinished AI and lackluster shooting mechanics as its primary flaws. Despite its flaws, it has developed a cult following among fans, as proven by the positive ratings on Steam. The publisher appears to be teasing some brand new material as a result of the game's success.
Reef Entertainment sent out a tweet with a photo of a ruined outfit and a set of written instructions. This "message" appears to be from John Connor, the protagonist and commander of the Resistance against the Terminators, according to the tweet. The assignment needs players to meet with DN38416 to examine missing residents, as well as a close-up of the soldier's outfit and a series of numbers and letters, according to the description.

Most long-time fans of the franchise deduced the image's meaning quickly, with the numbers and letters referring to Seargeant Kyle Reese, a key supporting character in the first Terminator film. Some fans thought that it may be a follow-up to Terminator: Resistance, or that it could be DLC. Given that Reese is the one who travels back in time to save Sarah Connor, and Resistance's focus on the future war, it's feasible that a story DLC focusing on Kyle Reese's activities prior to his journey into the past may be released.
The tweet concludes with the announcement that further information regarding the tease will be released next week. Given that the PS5 version of Terminator: Resistance was updated this year, it's understandable that the publisher would want to strike while the iron is hot with these newer fans and deliver some additional material or a new game. However, until the formal specifics of this new initiative are published, this is all speculation.
On PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One, Terminator: Resistance is now available.
