Monster Hunter's 20th Anniversary Is Already Being Prepared By Capcom.

As is common at this time of year, the Japanese journal Famitsu has been interviewing famous developers about their goals and ambitions for 2022, and Capcom's Ryozo Tsujimoto – the guy in charge of the company's prestigious Monster Hunter franchise – is one of those interviewed.

Tsujimoto is clearly focused on delivering Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the next DLC pack for the series' most recent entry, but he also mentions that there's a significant anniversary coming up soon and that he'll have to dedicate some of next year to plan for it:

In 2022, I'd like to give everyone in good form Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, which is set to release in the summer. In addition, the Monster Hunter series will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2024, so I should begin making plans for various events as soon as possible.

Monster Hunter launched onto the PlayStation 2 before moving on to the Wii, Wii U, 3DS, and, of course, the Nintendo Switch.
