Age of Empires 4's Xbox version has reportedly been discovered. The game's code name, Cardinal, has been reported on Xbox insider.

According to a codename found, an Xbox port of the 2020 PC strategy game Age Of Empires 4 is currently being tested.

XIP_CAR_JANUARY_2022 is now viewable on the different Xbox versions of the platform, @ALumia Italia who keeps watching on Microsoft code names that can be found on the Insider Hub of Different Microsoft products.

"CAR" stands for "CARDINAL," which was Microsoft's internal code name for Age Of Empires 4.

The game has never been announced for the Xbox, but given the success of Microsoft Flight Simulator's console port, it seems likely that Age Of Empires IV will be next.

"Age of Empires IV is a pretty decent RTS that plays it safe in the shadow of its legendary predecessor, but rarely shines out on its own beyond that," we noted in a VGC review of the PC version of the game last year. The early game has never seemed more fluid, and the UI and animation adjustments are great. While the victory conditions aren't limitless, the stories of how you met them, or how you failed terribly attempting, are."

Following some misconception that its upcoming "Super Game" might lead to Xbox exclusives, Sega, the parent company of Age Of Empires IV developer Relic, has addressed its alliance with Microsoft.

"With Microsoft, we already have a strong business relationship. "We outsourced the creation of their large-scale projects, and we're offering a range of titles as a third party," the business claimed, pointing to its studios' involvement on Halo Wars 2 and Age of Empires 4.

When we first proposed the concept of Super Game, Microsoft was receptive to our vision, which led to the current announcement.

"We're not talking about solely publishing games for Microsoft, but rather developing Super Games that will be distributed to the globe with their technical help."

This year, the Japanese publisher has committed to a new "super game" effort, a medium- to a long-term plan aimed at developing a "big worldwide title" based on the pillars of "global," "online," "community," and "IP uses."

Parent company SegaSammy stated in the business's annual report issued this month that it would explore investing up to 100.0 billion ($882 million) over the next five years to fulfill its super game' goals.
