Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker's patch 6.05 note adds a new treasure dungeon as well as other improvements. Savage raiding, high-end Tomestone collection, a new treasure dungeon, and more are all part of Final Fantasy 14's mid-patch cycle.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker has been out for a month, and while server waits have shrunk to sustainable levels, players are still gushing over the highly praised expansion pack. Final Fantasy 14 has announced Patch 6.05, the second half of the first major release of the Endwalker expansion cycle, not to rest on its laurels.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker Patch 6.05 introduced dozens of new features to the game, including the new high-end Tomestones of Astronomy and balance improvements to several of the game's playable jobs. In addition, the endgame Savage difficulty for the 8-man Pandaemonium raids and the Excitatron 6000 treasure dungeon was introduced.

The Excitatron 6000 is a randomly generated dungeon in Endwalker that is spawned by Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Treasure Maps, comparable to the Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah, Hidden Canals of Uznair, or the Aquapolis from prior expansions. In addition to new housing goods, horses, and minions, Final Fantasy 14 players can obtain new cosmetic and battle gear, such as the draconic-themed armor used by Radz-at-Radiant Han's Host, which is available for purchase using Tomestones of Astronomy.

This patch is a follow-up to the Final Fantasy 14 mini-patch 6.01, which was issued two weeks ago. That patch added the Pandaemonium raid's Normal mode as well as the different awards obtained from it. Completing the raid provides players with new gear and snippets of story to fill the hole left by completing Endwalker's Main Scenario, and now allows them to put their skills to the test against the Pandaemonium (Savage), the most hardest max-level content in the game for now.

Final Fantasy 14 players are already farming Tomestones of Astronomy, gathering and crafting the new goodies, and testing out the new Savage raids alongside their static groups. The hidden star of Patch 6.05, however, was the new Dance Pole housing item–a furnishing that first appeared in the FF7-famous Honeybee Inn back in Shadowbringers–which was made available for a small tithe of MGP at the Gold Saucer, much to the delight of /gposers and RP club owners across the server farms.

However, some players were dissatisfied with the very minor job balance changes in Patch 6.05. While certain classes, such as Dragoon, Summoner, and Ninja, received minor damage increases, and others, such as Monk and Scholar, received minor quality-of-life changes, the majority of the classes remained mostly untouched. Some hoped that over-turned classes, such as Reaper or Warrior, would be nerfed, while others hoped that under-performing classes, such as the Dark Knight, would be given some love.

Final Fantasy 14 is likely to wait to see how the classes perform in endgame raid content before making any substantial boosts or nerfs, especially after the value downscaling in Endwalker, so players may have to wait a few months until Patch 6.1 to see more dramatic adjustments to Final Fantasy 14's jobs.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker is now available for purchase on PC, PS4, and PS5, but is temporarily unavailable due to server congestion.
