Halo's legendary announcer speaks out in favor of trans players

'Halo's famous multiplayer announcer, Jeff Steitzer, will resume his position. Since the first Halo game, Jeff Steitzer has been the announcer for the multi-player games. 

The man behind the legendary voice of Halo‘s multiplayer announcer has spoken out in favor of trans rights.

A user on celebrity personalized messaging site Cameo asked Jeff Steitzer, who has been the announcer in all seven main Halo games and will return for Halo Infinite, to just say "trans rights" in the announcer's voice.

Therefore, Steitzer delivered a two-minute statement in which he elaborated on his thoughts for trans rights. “I usually capture some of the things I've spoken in the game throughout the years in one of these cameo recordings. - stuff like ‘double kill,' ‘triple kill,' ‘killing spree,' ‘slayer,'” Steitzer told the client, “but in your case, I believe this is going to be a different sort of recording.”

This has been my life's work for a long time, and I'm getting up there in years. I'll be 70 in November, and I've seen a lot, and the battle of trans people reminds me so much of all the other problems I've witnessed throughout the many years I've been alive.

"Beyond Native Americans, I've seen the struggles of Black Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics, gays, lesbians, and other minorities. And now I see trans people like you who essentially want nothing more than to experience the equality that everyone else strives for, and which I believe you should have."

Steitzer said, "So, I am glad to announce 'trans rights,'" imitating the Halo announcer voice. To all trans individuals, your friends, and you, I'd want to express that you are all unbelievably brave. Have a good day.”

The official Xbox Twitter account responded to Steitzer's post, saying, "He's exactly correct."
