Keanu Reeves Looks to Be Actually Familiar With the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Keanu Reeves has officially stated that joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be an "honor." The honor would be ours, sir.

He also outlines rumors that he and Winona Ryder are married in a new video interview with Esquire.

First and foremost, he expresses gratitude for joining the MCU. It would be an honor to be a part of the MCU... There are some truly brilliant directors and visionaries working on projects that no one else has attempted. In that sense, it's unique in terms of scale, ambition, and production. It'd be great to be a part of that."

Marvel Studios has been bringing in some of the biggest names in the industry to join its ever-growing roster of heroes, and Reeves appears to be a fantastic new addition to the shared universe. Harry Styles as Thanos' brother Eros (Starfox) in "Eternals," Hong Kong great Tony Leung as Wenwu in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," and Emilia Clarke in "Secret Invasion" are among the most fascinating new members of the MCU. Richard Madden and Kit Harington are already part of the MCU, and I'm sure there's a "Game of Thrones" reunion in the future.

With so many projects in the works at Marvel Studios, Keanu Reeves has plenty of opportunities to make his big MCU debut. But who might he be able to play?

We've compiled a list of five Marvel characters we'd want to see Keanu Reeves play in the future.

Namor

Namor the Sub-Mariner is a fictional character who appears in Marvel Comics' American comic books. Bill Everett, a writer-artist, invented the character for comic book publisher Funnies Inc. in early 1939. Originally produced for the unreleased motion picture humor comic Motion Picture Funnies Weekly. Namor is the Marvel Cinematic Universe's counterpart of Aquaman. When Natasha asks Okoye about how they're coping with a series of tremors detected beneath the Pacific Ocean in "Avengers: Endgame," there's an allusion to Namor. When questioned if that was a Namor Easter egg, screenwriter Christopher Markus seemed to confirm it with a cryptic, "You have to plant seeds now and then. They do expand at times." The studio has previously alluded to Namor and Atlantic's presence in the MCU, however, no project to bring the character to life has been confirmed. Namor is Atlantis' half-mutant, half-Atlantean ruler, whose loyalty has shifted over the years. Fans like him for being an anti-hero and a multi-layered character, and who better to play him than Keanu Reeves?

Mephisto

A devilish temptation lord. This demon, aided by the spirits of the damned, makes deals with the living in order to collect residents for his infernal domain. Mephisto has doomed numerous people to perpetual servitude under the names Mephistopheles, Lucifer, and even Satan. Or "gifted" them with power in some situations.

I'm not ashamed to say that I was one of those Marvel Cinematic Universe nerds who was persuaded that Mephisto was behind Wanda's manipulation of Westview in "WandaVision." You may imagine my sadness when I discovered it had all along been Agatha. I've accepted that Mephisto will not be released in Phase 4 this year, but that doesn't mean all hope is lost. In comic books, the character is an enormously powerful, immortal demonic monster that is so powerful that no hero can stand up to him. It's only a matter of time until Mephisto makes his big-screen debut, and how amazing would it be if Keanu Reeves was cast in the lead role? He's already got the hair, and I can completely see him in a red suit!

Nathaniel Essex/ Mister Sinister

Nathaniel Essex/ Mister Sinister

Mister Sinister (Nathaniel Essex) is a fictional supervillain that appears in Marvel Comics' American comic novels. The figure was first described as the employer behind the team of assassins known as the Marauders in Chris Claremont's The Uncanny X-Men.

Dr. Nathaniel Essex was a brilliant Victorian-era scientist who was preoccupied with evolution before assuming the moniker Mister Sinister. Apocalypse, a powerful mutant and fearsome X-Men foe, was impressed by his intellect. Nathaniel was genetically modified by Apocalypse and transformed into Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse's first bishop. Shape-shifting, telepathy, and telekinesis are among the supervillain's talents. Mr. Sinister, while being created by Apocalypse, disagrees with his cruelty and only wants to do his experiments cautiously. Who doesn't enjoy a morally ambiguous supervillain? Keanu Reeves, in my opinion, would be the ideal choice for the part!

Ghost Rider Marvel

Individuals indwelt by a Spirit of Vengeance or comparable demonic entity such as Zarathos, such as Johnny Blaze, who sold his soul to the demon-lord Mephisto, have donned the moniker Ghost Rider. Danny Ketch, Johnny's half-brother, was imbued with a Spirit of Vengeance by the medallion on his motorcycle's gas tank, among other people.

Keanu Reeves is known for his love of motorbikes and Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider, is one of the most legendary characters in Marvel Comics who also owns a motorcycle. Blaze is a well-known stunt biker who can transform into a skeletal superhuman with superhuman strength and agility, as well as the ability to generate, control, and project supernatural fire (particularly manifested through the Hellfire Chain that he wields). Nicholas Cage starred in the 2007 film, while Gabriel Luna starred in "Agents of SHIELD" as Robbie Reyes, another character who took up the Ghost Rider identity in the comics. Because the MCU has previously established Ghost Rider's abilities, and "WandaVision" recently revived the evil magic book known as the Darkhold, it's the ideal time for Reeves to take over as Johnny Blaze!

The Silver Surfer

The Silver Surfer is a fictional character who appears in Marvel Comics' American comic books. The character has also been adapted into a number of films, television shows, and video games. Jack Kirby invented the character, who originally debuted in the Fantastic Four comic book.

The Fantastic Four has officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and their return implies that there will always be a threat lurking over our heroes as long as Galactus is present. The Silver Surfer is commonly referred to as an enemy, although he is also a hero. When the devourer of planets came to destroy Zenn-La, he gave his life and became a servant of Galactus to preserve his home planet. Is it possible that you have a savior Or a decent man posing as a bad guy? Galactus changed him from Norrin Radd into a silver-skinned, cosmic-powered super-being capable of absorbing and manipulating the universe's ambient energy. The character would almost certainly need Reeves donning a mo-cap costume, but it's a figure that fans have long longed to see in the MCU, and it'd be really awesome to see the star play such a pivotal role!
