Pokemon Go Announces 2nd Community Day Event in January.

This month, there will be 2 Pokemon Go Community Days. In honor of the game's current "Season of Heritage," Niantic announced a second Community Day for January earlier today.

Bulbasaur will be featured in a "Community Day Classic" event on January 22, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During the event, each Ivysaur that developed into a Venusaur will get the move Frenzy Plant as a charged move.

Venusaur also learned Frenzy Plant during the first Bulbasaur Community Day event in 2018. The event has included standard Community Day themes like extended incense and lure times, as well as an increased chance of Shiny Bulbasaur finding in the wild. It's unknown at this moment whether Pokemon Go plans to return previous Community Day events or if this is a one-time event.

The news adds to an already busy January, which might see the introduction of several other new Pokemon to the popular smartphone game. Pokemon Go recently concluded its New Year's event, which featured new Costumed Pokemon, and has plans for two more events this month.

A "Mountains of Power" event will focus on Pokemon found in the mountainous sections of Johto and Sinnoh, while a Kanto Power Plant event will focus on Steel-type and Electric-type Pokemon.

Helioptile and Flabebe will be added to the game in the coming weeks, according to a loading screen added to the game earlier this month. Later this month, a regular Community Day event featuring the Water/Ice-type Pokemon Spheal will take place.

The Season of Heritage, which concentrates on a mysterious door revealed by Pokemon Go characters, is linked to both the future Pokemon Legends: Arceus event and the upcoming Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event.

It's unsure when Pokemon Go aims to have a tie-in event with the new Pokemon game, but we suspect that the mysterious door will contain some Hisuian Pokemon hidden behind it.
