The long-awaited tabletop version of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has received an update from Bethesda and Modiphius Games. Early next month, pledges for the board game, which was announced earlier this year, will open on the crowdfunding site Game found. The demo will be available to anyone who backs the game at launch.

Modiphius Games posted an update on the Gamefound page last week, giving fans a sneak peek at the visuals and gameplay. The update also revealed that the game will be released on November 2nd. It was previously postponed - it was supposed to launch in June - but that was to allow for tweaks to card designs and board layout while miniatures were being approved. However, it appears that the new date will be adhered to.

Modiphius also provided an overview of the three pricing levels available: Base, Gameplay, and Deluxe. While the Gameplay and Deluxe tiers have yet to be revealed, the core box's Base reward will cost £68 (roughly $95). A digital demo will be available to anyone who pre-orders the game when it launches. Tabletop Simulator, a digital platform that allows players to interact with a virtual version of a physical board game, will provide this service. The team intends to film gameplay videos for backers using this simulator.

The rest of the update went over the gameplay and what's in the base package, which includes two campaigns, six chapters, and a prequel tutorial. Each player's turn will begin with the drawing of an event card. They'll then visit caves, mines, tombs, ruins, and Dwemer cities. Then, in order to earn rewards, players will attempt chains of quest cards.

Each choice a player makes affects future gameplay, and players will face enemies they must defeat for experience and treasure along the way. These will be used to level up and learn new skills that will help you navigate the game's world more easily.

This board game is shaping up to be a physically immersive version of the popular RPG Skyrim. When the Gamefound page goes live on November 2, you'll be able to see it for yourself.
