The cartoon platformer is available for free on the Ubisoft shop until December 22 at 9 a.m. local time, and the deal is only valid for the PC version of the game. Thankfully, while Rayman Origins was released in 2011, its recommended system requirements - which include a graphics card with at least 128 MB of memory - are very low by the standards of today's finest gaming PCs.

All users have to do is go to the Ubisoft Store and download the game for free. It's worth mentioning that this chance to play one of the last decade's classic 2D platformers won't last long. All gamers can claim the game as a free gift until December 22 at 9 a.m. EST.

Fortunately, unlike many other triple-AAA games on the market today, Rayman Origins should run smoothly on most PCs. The system requirements are fairly minimal because the game was launched over a decade ago. Because the 2D platformer only requires 128 MB of memory, most gaming machines should be able to run it with an entry-level graphics card.
This limited-time offer to acquire Rayman Origins is part of Ubisoft's ongoing 35th-anniversary celebration. Previously, the Assasin's Creed Chronicles Trilogy, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, and Anno 1404 History Edition were all free to download.
In other Ubisoft news, the company revealed upcoming content for Assasin's Creed Valhalla, which will be released in 2022. Dawn of Ragnarok is the next expansion for the RPG, according to the creator. The DLC is set to be released on March 22nd, and it promises a lot more gameplay time.
