Rayman Origins is currently available for free on the Ubisoft Store. As part of Ubisoft's ongoing 35th-anniversary celebration, Rayman Origins is currently available as a free gift.

The cartoon platformer is available for free on the Ubisoft shop until December 22 at 9 a.m. local time, and the deal is only valid for the PC version of the game. Thankfully, while Rayman Origins was released in 2011, its recommended system requirements - which include a graphics card with at least 128 MB of memory - are very low by the standards of today's finest gaming PCs.

The video game industry is often complex around the end of the year, and 2021 appears to be no exception. It's an exciting time to be a gamer, with early views at upcoming projects at The Game Awards and new game launches. Ubisoft recently joined in on the fun, stating that it had a special surprise regarding the 2D platformer Rayman Origins just in time for the holidays.

Over the years, Ubisoft has created a large number of games. Rayman Origins managed to stand out from the pack, despite the fact that not all of the company's efforts were a success. Rayman and his companions Globox and the two Teensies were controlled by players in an adventure that included optional local co-op. While the game's success led to a 2013 sequel called Rayman Legends, many fans loved revisiting the original in 2011. Fortunately, Ubisoft is providing a terrific opportunity for those interested in repeating the iconic game.

Players found a new chance to get this classic Rayman title in a tweet from Ubisoft on December 14th. Rayman Origins is now available for free, according to the business. All users have to do is go to the Ubisoft Store and download the game for free. It's worth mentioning that this chance to play one of the last decade's classic 2D platformers won't last long. All gamers can claim the game as a free gift until December 22 at 9 a.m. EST.

Fortunately, unlike many other triple-AAA games on the market today, Rayman Origins should run smoothly on most PCs. The system requirements are fairly minimal because the game was launched over a decade ago. Because the 2D platformer only requires 128 MB of memory, most gaming machines should be able to run it with an entry-level graphics card.

This limited-time offer to acquire Rayman Origins is part of Ubisoft's ongoing 35th-anniversary celebration. In addition to this 2D platformer, several more titles were made available to fans in the last few weeks to commemorate the company's legacy. Previously, the Assasin's Creed Chronicles Trilogy, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, and Anno 1404 History Edition were all free to download.

In other Ubisoft news, the company revealed upcoming content for Assasin's Creed Valhalla, which will be released in 2022. Dawn of Ragnarok is the next expansion for the RPG, according to the creator. The DLC is set to be released on March 22nd, and it promises a lot more gameplay time.
